Sufficient challenges with holes to encourage
This is an interesting course with some distinct challenges. The 6th {especially), 8th and 13th present risk and reward dog-legs, and big-hitters will relish 9th, 10th and 12th. A course with much camber will make you think hard about which line to take.Reviewer Rating

Nice course, good to play
A very welcoming club. There are some very interesting holes to play on this course. The weather can be an additional hazard when you are on top oif the hill and your distance and direction need to be spot on.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 108 Handicap: 24.9)

Your love it or hate it !
Very hilly course that's not for everyone.All holes are different from each other apart from a couple of par 3's.
The 6th hole is fantastic, the 13th a real challenge.
17th and 18th will destroy your scorecard if you get them wrong. No room for errors.
Overall I love it.

All of the fairways are really well kept however one or two of the greens aren't in the best shape. The bunkers are not the best, the majority are full of stones and could do with more sand.
The course itself is a good mixture of challenging holes with a lot of hills etc. and easier holes with wide fairways.

Despite living locally I haven't played this course for some years since it was taken over by Glendale golf. Lots of investment was promised but didn't occur. In fact basic maintenance was forgotten and course got something of a poor reputation.
I was pleasantly surprised today. It is clear a lot of work has been done over the winter and course is getting back to a good condition.
It is a really challenging hilly course with great views. A public course that everyone should play once at least.
Check the green fees as what we were charged did not match advertised rates on the website.

A good test for all handicap golfers open course layout not too much trouble out on the course but there are a lot of holes you need to be placing your shots in the right areas for yur next shot(s) into the green.

greens not up to scratch very poor ,bar closes early about 5pm,and clubhouse very poor with not good service,and food very average.

Played here last Sunday was in ok condition the greens need work doing to them and this golf course could be very very good. Pro shop lady seems stuck up her own butt likes to talk down to you even tho we pay her wages. Front 9 brilliant challenge back 9 is like a normall golf course.

Very poor condition and at time of playing (10 April) still playing off winter mats! Poor maintenance overall - grass cuttings strewn over the rough, greens unreceptive, pitted. Staff were unwelcoming and used vulgar language in presence of my young son. I will not be returning.
