Petersfield Golf Club was founded in 1892 and until 1997 was based on the Heath in Petersfield. The new course, built in 1995, is firmly established in its new surroundings and mature beyond its years. I echo other reviews - some well placed trees and hazards make this a thinker's course. Set in a picturesque part of Hampshire the course offers excellent value for money and there's great attention to detail. Greens were superb - large but undulating, making long distance putts a challenge. Holes 9-13 are a bit weaker and a wayward tee-shot will not be punished quite so severely, but by the time you reach these holes you're grateful for a little forgiveness. The pro shop and bar staff are most welcoming and the facilities are excellent. On the day played, I had taken advantage of a discounted green fee which was excellent value for money. The customary fee is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Thoroughly recommended.

An immensely enjoyable course with some challenging holes - particularly the 4th! The club professional is very welcoming and always available to offer sound advice to help golfers of all standards improve their game. The club sits along side the A3 and welcomes members from other clubs.

Played as part of a "Taster Week" - £12.50 each. There are plenty of interesting holes, with a variety of undulations and dog legs. 9-13 are weaker though - open and featureless. Greens were good and rarely flat so very challenging. Plenty of bunkers which whilst in good condition I struggled to get out of! Excellent prectice facilities and a good welcome from the pro shop. Well worth a visit if a discounted green fee can be found.

Fantastic course, fairways very good greens immaculate the bunker sand is soft, some really intereseting holes. Had a great round as a guest, clubhouse very good, lots of space.. Looking forward to playing there again.
