The par 3 11th epitomises the surroundings with an immaculate green positioned under towering pines. Location: Leave the M27 at Junction Two and follow signs to Romsey. At the first roundabout take the first exit sign to Ower. Take the first right by the Vine Hotel onto the Old Salisbury Road. Follow the road to the end and bear left into Paultons Golf Club.

Played a couple of times on this course, clubhouse is ok but quite old, but didnt really spend much time in there.
The course is well kept and the greens are nice and flat , not to difficult 2-3 putts max.
The fairways on the first nine are open , but the back nine are more closed in .
Seemed to be always busy there !
Membership for 12 months is approx £1000 for 7 day , but it is a part of crown golf course

On arrival all seemed well,we made our way to the pro shop to pay our fees, unfortunately we were stood around whilst the women behind the counter chatted on the phone presumebly to a freind totally ignoring us. Once on the course we found that it was in very good condition and the marshall was very freindly, overall apart from the blip at the start everything was very good.

I have started playing here and have played now for ten months at the age of 14. I find it a great course to start on as it has a starter par 3 nine hole however i have now progressed to the 18 hole. The front and back 9 are very different and are both a test for different aspects of your golf. A great course to play and very friendly and fantastic facilities. Good course!

This is my home club. We have enjoyed good conditions throughout the summer with the course generally being better maintained than many of its more prestigious and expensive counterparts. We are now on winter tees (some mats, some secondary grass tees), and today we played on "frost greens" (pins always at the front), however, the fairways and greens remain in great nick which is a real testament to the greenkeeping team as the course is "pay and play". For those of you who don't know the set up here, it is a flat parkland course, with a fairly open front 9 but a much tighter back. There is a good quality driving range and overall it is a good value venue. I am happy to "host" anyone who would like to try it out (no I am not on commission!).

Open and flat course (No give in the greens!), not particularly peaceful due to proximity to Paultons Leisure park. Not particularly punishing in the majority of places so good for high handicappers, low handicappers may not be challenged. Played on a busy afternoon and got round in 4 hour so course flow stands up well.

Good golf course which is ideal for all levels of golfer. Offers include 18 holes for just £9.99 if you tee off before 7.29am which is excellent value for money provided the weather is kind.
One annoyance is that the course mainteneance staff sit on their machines well within driving range and are oblivious to anyone trying to play golf. I recently took my wife round for her first venture on an 18 hole course and found the workman intimidating. I know they have to work but some consideration should be given to playing past the work and the workers following the golfers not permantly in front of you.That said, it is well worth a visit, the course is in excellent condition.

I have played this course a few times I am not much of a fan, the course is just too open for my liking but our golf society comes here often.
The course played well on the day of our round even though it was rather wet. My scorecard said I played well but I was very wayward but kept my ball in play.
The clubhouse is large & the food is rather good. I might think again about playing here tho, said that a few times

Have played Paultons a few times now and very impressed by both the course and the turn around in the last few years, I now regard it as probably the best of the pay and play courses. Very good pay and play course but now has many members also excellent greens despite the recent weather, and fairways many would be proud of. Open front 9 but still challenging and a back 9 to look forward to, overall a very good site
