Designed by renowned golf course architect Donald Steel, the magnificent 18 hole course at Overstone Park is proud to boast they are one of the finest and most popular courses for playing golf, taking lessons or hosting golf days in Northampton.
The course offers a "fair but challenging" game to the novice or experienced golfer, with a number of attractive feature holes. During 2007 we were delighted with the number of compliments the course received from members and visitors alike with many suggesting 'the greens were the best in the County'.

Course Information
Location
Location: From M1 Exit M1 at junction 15. Take the A508/A45 ring road towards Northampton/Wellingborough Take the 5th exit (after approx 4 miles), it will be signposted Great Billing / Aquadrome / Overstone. Turn left at top of slip Road Go over mini roundabout and next 2 roundabouts. Overstone Park is on the right, just over the last roundabout. From A14 Exit A14 at Northampton exit (A43) Carry on A43 towards Northampton As you approach Northampton you will come to a roundabout ("Total" Petrol Station on right). Take 1st exit signposted Overstone/Sywell. At 'Y' junction cross main road into Billing Lane (opposite some fancy gates and the perimiter wall of the golf course). Overstone Park is on your left at top of the lane. We are very easy to find, but should you have any difficulties in finding us, please call our Reception on 01604 647666 (please pull over and stop if driving!).

This course was a little more open than I expected after the reviews I had read. However, it is very well designed and the holes are very well sculpted. The par 5's are especially well laid out and the greens are of a very high standard.
Thoroughly enjoyed playing here, and at £85 for 2 rounds, dinner bed and breakfast this was very good value for money. In a few years when the holes have a little more protection from the trees I think this could be a most impressive course.
A couple of minor things that would help the newcomer would be markers from green to tee as it was not awlays clear where the next hole was and also some 150 posts as the markers on the fairway were a little hard to see.

This is a long and tough course and a real test for golfers of all calibre's.Don't let the relatively easy opening 2 holes mislead you because once you leave the safety of the clubhouse area some big surprises await you. Hole 3 a long dog-leg par 5 followed by a real nasty Par 3 over a lake which is surrounded by out of bounds.Hole 9 is a real beauty, a very long and testing par 5 as is 11 where accuracy not power is the key especially off the tee. The feature hole at this course is the 17th, a par 3 over another lake but much bigger than that at 4, not many achieve parity here and one you leave this green you are faced with a demanding par 5 to finish where the green is surrounded by 8 bunkers one of which is the captains charity bunker where a forfeit of £1 is payable if you land in it.I found this course tough but very enjoyable.

I am a new golfer and used to play on another course in Northampton. Overstone Park was recommended to me by a friend and I went along to see what it was all about. I signed up for full 7 day membership the very same day. The course is very well maintained and the greens are excellent. There are some beautiful views around the course and there are some very challenging holes. The 17th par 3 over the lake is quite intimidating but it gives you an excellent feeling when you get the ball onto the green close to the pin.
The staff in the clubhouse are very polite and helpful and the food is first class. There are plenty of other facilities there as well including a pool, gym and sauna as well as the very nice looking lodges offering first class accomodation.

A lovely course - tipped it down when I played here, but was determined to continue because of the exciting holes they had - especially the 17th. There are cheaper alternatives, but this one is very entertaaining - beautiful trees too!

A well-kept and managed course with interesting holes and features. Quite forgiving in spite of water hazards, sand and trees. Some good views. Very good clubhouse, accommodation and good food. Very friendly and helpful staff.

This is a well maintained and interesting course. More importantly, the customer service at Overstone Park is first class and most definitely worthy of mention - all staff being exceptionally polite, friendly and very professional in their approach to the customer. The hotel rooms are comfortable, but if you are planning an overnight stay, opt for one of the lodges. You won't be disappointed!
