Wells Golf Club was established in 1893. It moved to its present site at King Castle Wood two years later. The wooded course is designed on two levels. Holes 2 to 11 circle the hills and offer fine scenic views and undulating fairways which provide some interesting lies. The 12th hole from its elevated tee is played down to a double green by the Clubhouse. The remaining holes play along the valley where accurate drives are essential.

Some great holes with views to match. A good variation throughout.
Only minus point is that the third tee box hard to find. Its some 60 yards further on from second green, just keep walking along ridge.
Very friendly pro shop staff, made me fell very welcome.

i was very pleasantly surprised at the course as it was a last minute arrangement to play there. firstly the staff were very friendly and helpfull. the course is in very good condition considering the season is only just begining. i will deffinitely be looking at playing there again.

A very well manicured course with some interesting holes. First hole takes you across the valley and up onto the side of the hill. you then follow the contours around the hill.
The par 3 tenth plays to a postage stamp green with no real bale out areas. The exit from this to the next green is the only climb other than the first,on the course . You play along the valley for the finishing holes.
Well appointed clubhouse and first class carvery meal.

VERY GOOD COURSE,VERY GOOD CLUB,VERY FRIENDLY STAFF...SUNNY UP UNTIL 14TH,THEN HEAVY RAIN,BUT IT DIDNT SPOIL THE DAY.WE REALLY ENJOYED IT.
