The course itself is a very challenging 18 hole seaside links/moorland course. It presents an interesting array of tight fairways,blind holes and very true greens all presented in excellent condition. If the wind decides to join in then it can become even more interesting.

Took my Society to Newbiggin in 2010.Found it to be very enjoyable.We all enjoyed it. and found the Gent in charge very friendly,also the members,Thats why we hope to be playing their again in 2013 John H, Penshaw.

i have only started playing this course this year under winter conditions , the fairways are in very good shape although you do have to move and place your ball beyond white lines either side of the fairway(in winter) obviously how the fairways are in such good shape and as for the greens they are probably the best greens i have played on in a long long time very very good well looked after well cut , every hole is different from the previous some very challenging blind holes to play to and very challenging in the wind... i would recommend anyone to play this course, very good course and nice scenery as it runs along the coastline. well done to all at newbiggin.

Not a course to bother travelling to. It is in reasonable condition but has little to recomend it as a course or from it's location.
