A great day out for a Yorkshireman visiting Derbyshire. Great facilities, people, sunshine, course and greens. There is two sides to the course, front 9 which is quite new and wide open which allows some scope for way ward drives to land on other fairways without being punished, although you need a large shot on a couple of holes to make sure you get there. The greens are hard so watch out when you go for them, but they give you confidence when putting as they run very true. The back nine is more mature with trees around to make the drives straighter, a couple of quirke holes, one over the quarry and one down the hillside but still a lovely rolling course with magical views. The greens are a touch softer so you can go at the hole a touch more. Excellent Value for Money and well worth the trip over the Pennines, oh and an ice cream on the route back was a great call.

A great test of your golf prowess. While some holes or Generous ,others are quite challenging.Well worth a visit.
Set in the hills of Derbyshire the front nine being relatively new is open and inviting while the back nine is more of a test. The Course

If you get a nice day the views from the course are magnificent being very high up in Derbyshire.
Surprisingly though the course is not hilly although the drive up to it is. The course has been extended in recent times the front 9 being the new bit and the back 9 over the road from the club house the older more mature course. The Course
