the course was in good condition, the staff are friendly and provided a map of course as it was my 1st time playing here. Unusual to share tees and fairways with cows and ponies, but that only added to the fun!!

Love the course, used it a few times now. Not so good in the winter as you have to play off mats, the usual winter curse.
Fantastic service we booked for 12.06 and was allowed to tee off at least 15mins earlier as the tee was free.
Could not fault it

Chris the pro was very welcoming and enjoyed having a chat with him. We enjoyed our round, the members who we bumped into on the way round were very friendly. Other than the bar maid, who could have smiled a little more, a lovely morning/afternoon - great value for money......we are looking forward to our next visit

A bit boggy, but it is forest ground. The course looked generally uncared for, the greens had loads of pitch marks. However the location and layout of the course was good.

As always in autumn, Lyndhurst is a beautiful place to play on a sunny day, with an amazing array of colours on the trees. However, parts of the course were becoming boggy and it is not really a course to play in the winter. Condition was fair for time of year, with preferred lies on all fairways. Welcome is very friendly.

Managed to get a great deal on tee times, first time on the course for the three of us. Condition was fantastic, with the exception of the occasional tee.
Greens are the best I have seen so far. Parkland style course with interesting challenges, yet the fairways are generous so even bad shots don't result in a lost ball.
Fantastic service from the club and very friendly reception from the members we met.
The shop is a great place for a bargain or the odd club that is missing from your bag.
My only grips from the club are the lack of signage to hidden away tees for first timers to the course, and the lack of filter / espresso coffee but there is great beer in the pub.
Overall fantastic day will be returning soon and a fantastic course for all

Played this course twice now and I have to say for the price it's a good course. It is part of the New Forest so you have to deal with the ponies roaming free... The welcome is friendly and the course whilst not that tough is a nice test. The fairways/rough are short due to on course "mowers" and the greens can be patchy and were a bit bumpy when we played...

Golf as it used to be - small greens reached by playing over natural New Forest terrain.
A good experience if you have not played this type of course before but I wouldn't want to play here too often.
Warm and friendly clubhouse.

This is without doubt my favourite course that I have played. The members and staff are some of the nicest people you could ever meet and nothing was ever too much trouble. The course is kept in excellent condition, particularly considering it is frequently visited by wild animals on a daily basis.
The pro shop is well stocked and excellent value for money. The clubhouse has a great bar and food facilities, with super changing rooms.

This is one of my favourite courses. It is right in the heart of the New Forest on protected land and shared with many of the NF ponies. As a result it has it's own local rules with preferred lies in play at all times and relief available from animal damage/droppings! Tt has seven Par 3s and a few short Par 4s but remains a decent challenge. Unfortunately the greens are poor at present due (I believe) to a greenkeeping aberration early in the season - a great shame. All staff are extremely friendly and the Trifle is first class!

Huge amount of work being undertaken! 15 out of 18 temporary greens! Despite that it was a lovely setting with great fairways and you could see it would be a good course when all the work gets completed. The green fee reflected the level of work - £10 on a Sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

A pleasant gentle course, with a natural feel of the New Forest about it. You will generally beat your handicap around here. Good value.

I played here in a competition a while ago and found it a very nice course. the greens are fairly quick and the fairways have quite short grass. It was a nice course although the horse poo did prove a hazard I didn't want to move. It has a nice bar.

Nice course - but quick greens. Just need to mind the ponies and cows grazing on the farways!
£10.00 for a late afternoon round on a course as nice as this is excellent value for money. Perhaps a few too many Par 3s, but enjoyable all the same.
