Murcar Links Golf Club
Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, Grampian, AB23 8BD United Kingdom
"Murcar Link's is as fine a links course as you could wish to play" (Paul Lawrie, 1999 Open Champion) and adjoins Royal Aberdeen to its south side. With Cruden Bay a mere twenty minute car drive north, Murcar is without doubt, "a hidden gem" (Peter Alliss, TV Commentator & Former Ryder Cup Player). The three of them are a hat trick of golf courses not to be missed by the discerning golfer.
Not for the beginner or the faint hearted, Murcar Link's is a par 71 (ss 72) natural Championship links, which represents a truly challenging test of golf. To play it requires every shot in the book and if the wind is up, a few more besides! Book a Tee Time

Absolutely fantastic course, very brutal if your wide of the fairway you are in big trouble. You can't even go that wide to find another fairway, it's that fairway or nothing. The greens, bunkers and fairways are all off exceptional standard. We played off the White Tee's from some dramatic set back tee boxes. The course sits back to back with Royal Aberdeen and it's difficult to see where one course ends and another starts they are that much alike. This course is highly recommended, i will be going there again that is for sure.

Unbelievable course, fantastic condition, genuine links. The course is a true test especially when the blows, if you're not down the middle then expect trouble. Very welcoming clubhouse and a great days golf.

If you want to play true links golf, this is the course for you! Starts off with a couple of kinder par 4's, then hits back with anger. Narrow fairways, deep gourse or thick rough at the edge and himmocks in the fairway to throw you towards them. Par 3 5th and par 4 7th are stunning. Then there is the run back to the clubhouse from the 13th. The welcome you receive in the clubhouse and on the course from members is second to none. Highly recommended!

This is a real gem of a course - must be one of the best in the country. Every tee shot brings its own unique challenge and sends fear down your spine. If playing for the first time, bring plenty of balls. An absolute cracker.
