These are the worst green I have ever seen terrible!!! They even had Mushrooms growing on them. This is a real shame as the club staff are really friendly and the course would be a diamond if the upkeep was maintained 9 holes didnt have flags 4th hole had a red flag 7th had a bamboo cane with a blue rag!!!! very dissapointing. Apparantly about to change owners so would wait for that to happen before going again.

This course is probably the worst I have played at the fairways are like thick rough and the greens are dreadful. On three of the holes they had pond weeds as flags and on one a plank of wood. I think they pay more for the rakes in the bunkers than anything else. Certainally wouldn't reccomend this to anyone. The best part of the golf club is getting back in your car at the end. However if it was bought by someone it would be a brilliant course.

This course has the potential to be an absolutely superb venue, but it is very badly let down by a lack of basic maintenance. The layout is excellent, plenty of water, some very nice bunkering and a good variety of holes. There are lots of gentle elevations throughout the course, and this together with quite a few mounds means a lot of the holes are played through what feel like valleys, really nice.
However, to say the course lacks tlc is an understatement. I played in December after the heavy snow, so cannot comment on the greens or fairways, but the general look of the course is scruffy. Obviously money is an issue, but it wouldn't cost much to clear the paths of weeds, fill in pot holes on the cinder paths etc. It seems the owners treat it as a wedding venue which has a golf course, rather than the other way round. With a proper course manager in place, they could easily double their membership fees, but the owners seem a bit short sightedThe Course

Holes nice but landscape between holes looks a bit scabby. Starting to use winter tees, which were sometimes in the first cut of rough! Greens were a bit scabby looking too. Have started to cut grass for winter temps. Don't think I'll bother coming back here til spring. Have played in summer and course is generally very nice and worth a tenner of anyone's money.

This course has a lot of potential but doesn't seem to have the finances in place to keep it maintained properly. Seems to be lacking greenkeeping staff. A long course with a lot of tough holes for the average amateur golfer. Lot of very ad-hoc looking water hazards and very long rough in which you have very little chance of finding wayward golf balls. Even first cut of rough is too long which is very unfair on amateur golfers. Greens are very good though and quite spacious. The signature island green par 3 17th looks absolutely awful. Landcaping is very amateurish and weeds are threatening to overgrow the place. Tee boxes are a joke. Definitely not worth paying more than £10 for a round at the minute. In the hands of a properly organised and backed greenkeeping crew, the course could be stunning. This doesn't look like it's ever going to happen in the current economic climate so I would recommend spending your green fees on more established and better maintained courses in the area.

I have been a member here since the course first opened in 1999. Over that period it has matured considerably and offers some of the most exciting golf in the North West. Water hazards exist on almost every hole and the 17th is an island green. The greens have improved considerably in the last 12 months and putt true. During the winter the course can be wet. The clubhouse is very modern and offers good food.

Played course over a dozen times, and recently joined the club. Extrmely friendly staff and always a very warm welcome when visiting.
The course is relatively young, but kept in very good condition, and a tree planting programme is underway.
The greens and fairways are in excellent condition, and the many ponds and lakes present a very challenging round. The Course
