Maylands Golf and Country Club
The 18 hole, par 71 championship golf course measures 6,361 yards. The layout is typical of that from the world renowned golf course architect Harry Colt, known for course designs such as Wentworth, Sunningdale and Royal Portrush. Laid out in 1936 the course offers a great challenge with gently undulating fairways lined with trees. The greens always present a true putting surface and are framed by trees or landscaped mounds with many of them being protected by the cleverly placed bunkers to catch the wayward approach shot. The course consists of two loops of nine holes enabling golfers to start and finish their rounds near the clubhouse.Contact Information

Location: Directions From the M25 Leave the motorway at junction 28 and take the A12 westbound towards Romford. The turning for Maylands is on the right, only a few hundred yards from the M25.

I played Maylands for the first time this week. The course was interesting and challenging. The course and the greens were well maintained and looks like it will stay dry through the winter months.
Friendly staff, and a good breakfast and lunch - I look forward to my next round here.The Course

A nice course that offers some interesting and challenging holes for all handicaps.
It has a good mixture of tight tree lined and heavily bunkered par 4's and large open fairwayed Par 5's (there are 3 Par 5's on the back 9)
A mature parkland course that is well maintained.
The Staff are pleasant & a gave us a warm welcome.
However the Pro shop was Poorly stocked and the club house was nice but the decor needs an update.
I played this course as part of a society but would happily return in the summer.

A nice mature parkland course.
The tees, fairways, greens and bunkers were in a good condition.
A nice clubhouse and a small pro shop.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

nive course for how young it is .give it another 4 or 5 years will be lovely hopefully wont get to pricey. well worht the visit in the summer .if the ower reads this hopefuly you will keep the price down as theres a lot better course a lot cheaper not so far away
