Malkins Bank Golf Club
Malkins Bank has recently become a private golf club, operated by Golfers for Golfers. It offers a fantastic round of golf. It is kept in fabulous condition and since its' creation has benefited from being upgraded to an eighteen-hole course with the opening of its back nine. Changes have been made since its' birth and continue to be made, all across the course with the greens being improved, a tree planting programme having taken place, as well as course redesigns and the installation of an improved drainage system having occurred in recent times.

For a municipal course, this is fantastic however for membership prices it's not much different from some good other private courses.

A good all round course, plenty of length and problems. The greens are very slow and catch you out quite easily. Ideal to practice straight hitting, if you don't your in trouble.

This is by far the best municipal course in North Staffs/South Cheshire. Although it is quite a forgiving course, it is extremely well maintained and only costs around £15 per round. 13th and 14th holes are highlights.

Nice layout with some interesting holes. Course very poor in the winter and usually have temp greens on for a solid 6 months which is ridiculous. Greens in summer are not particular good.
Tee times over booked in the mornings at the weekend leading to long waiting time.
Decent practice facilties.

A very good course in the summer - well worth playing. Quite poor in the winter as they had 18 temp greens and tees for a whole 6 months last winter.

This is a decent course, good value for money and pretty tough for a municipal, the 13th is very challenging and would be in my 18 toughest holes on the multiple course i play

Our Golf Society played here and I have to say hat this was our second visit this year as the value for money is exceptional. With Bacon Sandwiches and Coffee on arrival and a superb 2 course meal afterwards all served by extremely friendly and accomodating staff you can't go wrong.
The course is a good test of golf with a good variety of challenging holes. Considering the amount of rain we have had the fairways were in great condition and only the greens had suffered.
Overall the feedback from our members was excellent again and we will be back again next year.

Excellent for a municipal and good value for money in my opinion. The 13th is a real challenge for any golfer and the remaining holes are all varied, with the exception of the 1st & 18th which are fairly bland.Holds up very well to rain. Unfortunately, the hardest green ( 14th) is also the worst, having sufferered from treatment last year.
Rarely get the long delays you can get with other muni's.
