Need to invest in some serious money for drainage. Bunkers are like ponds - walkways between greens and next tee box is swamped.

Played at Linden on the 4th September. Thoroughly enjoyed the round. The Par 3 holes were a challenge to me being a novice golfer but still managed to par each one of them. Staff were first class as were the facilities.

This is one of my favourite courses in Northumberland, it's almost always playable, as are the other courses in the area, must all have good drainage. It's a good test of golf for all standards, and the par 3's are all beautifully framed. The staff are extremely friendly, and I would personally recommend anyone to play at least once at Linden Hall.
Played last Sunday, 1st August, and the course was in extremely good condition, and very quiet, ideal golf!

Condition of the course very good having benefitted from the recent spell of good weather. Greens still playing a bit slow. Par 3s all over water and a good challenge. Friendly staff

The course let the whole place down, everything else was good or excellent. Layout of the course is poor with many fairway bunkers which you can't see off the tee.The par 3's are very picturesque and challenging, if generally short. Course design doesn't give you a lot to aim at off the tee, condition very poor (May 2010)with greens the slowest that I have EVER played. Staff very friendly, particularly in Pro shop.

Although the weather at this time of year is always unpleasant. The course was in excellent condition considering. All the normal greens were on and only a few tee boxes were on mats. The Clubhouse, food and staff were first class. I would recommend this course and would certainly play it again in the New Year

Course in much better condition than last year following some good work by the groundstaff. Practice facilities have been much improved but still has to share golfers bar with main Linden Tree pub.

Linden Hall presents a real challenge to all level of golfers. A long course (particularly off the back tees), there are many varied hotels which really make you think about your shot off the tee box without constantly reaching for the driver. Even the short Par 3's present a challenge due to the presence of water hazards around all of them.
Highlights of the course are the double dog leg Par 5 13th (a true 3 shots to the green thinking mans hole), the newly refurbished Par 3 7th with a wicked green which slopes your ball towards the inviting water hazard, and the tricky Par 4 18th which requires a drive of length and accuracy to give you any chance of a shot into the green which is well protected by huge mature trees, a burn and some feisty bunkers.
Recent investment in the course is now starting to show fruition and the mature parkland setting around the beautiful Linden Hall is a real treat.
The friendly laid back attitude of the staff is good (no snobbery here) and the pro shop and locker rooms are modern and well kept. The lack of a dedicated club house for the golfers is the only real downside - a seperate small bar within the on site food orientated pub being the only 19th facilities on offer. However with a 10% discount for golfers in the bar on drinks and food, they do try and make up for this.
Overall an excellent golfing experience in a cracking part of the country

This has been my home course this season and over the summer it has been in extremely good condition although I didn't get to play it as much as I would've liked to! The course is fairly long and unless you want to be hitting long irons to the green you need to get a decent drive away. All of the 4 par 3's have water involved and are a decent test the par 5's are long as you'd expect in particular the 13th with a double leg first left then right to a mounded green protected by a burn at the front and sides. This course is a good test and I would recommend you give it a go however it can get a bit wet during the winter months and is sometimes kept open when it should really be closed.

A very nice location with some very nice holes. Condition of the course has always been very good. The style of course leaves some fairly long walks between holes. For me the course is spoilt by the fact that they seem to have gone fairway bunker crazy, not a problem for the first few holes but very frustrating after 18.
