Leven Links gains strength from its succession of 'less easy' holes and the fact that one turns at the 13th into the prevailing west wind with a lot of work still to be done. At the end is the Home Green, prior to 1893 being small and square, but now a large putting surface fronted by demonic Scoonie burn. This wide natural water hazard described in the past as 'yellow as Pactolus or as black as Styx, or again, with the colour of Ketchup, the density of pea soup and the smell of Gaol fever'. The 18th hole is reckoned to be one of the finest finishing holes in golf. Improvements have been made in the early 2000's to counter act technology. New stratigically placed bunkers and alterations mean that the "golfer" needs to manage their game.Book a Tee Time

A group of 16 of us played here on 8 April 2011 as the start of our Ryder Cup style weekend. Weather was glorious and the course was its equal. The friendliest welcome our society has ever received from a golf club. Some fantastic holes, course in excellent condition. A brutal closing 7 holes climax with the 18th which is now one of (if not the) my favourite finishing holes I've ever played. Cannot find a fault.

This a traditional Links course, nothing tricked up and great value for money. 11th oldest golf club in the world. come see and play it yourself. You will want to come back for more.

Ancient club,course is almost next door to Lundin Links [both were joined years ago!]
Finishing hole is a real challenge. had a good welcome and would visit again when we tour Scotland.
