I have recently joined Leigh via a taster membership starting in April 2009. The greens ahve had a complete overhall and I was sceptical on how the course would look and play as at the time I joined it wasn't great to be honest. What a transformation in May. The course now is fantastic and challenging, especially for a new golfer as myself. I have since joined as a full member and really enjoying it. The pro-shop staff are very helpfull and the clubhouse staff very friendly.

The course is a very picturesque woodland course.
No two holes are the same & it is a very rewarding course.
The greens are very good.
The staff in the clubhouse are very friendly with a truly "professional" professional

FANTASTIC
I played this course on Saturday the 30th may and the course was in absolutely fantastic condition.I believe there has been a £100,000.00 investment in the course and the greens and it is certainly now living up to its old title of Royal Leigh once again.I found the course, fairways and greens to be in fantastic condition and manicured to perfection. The course was clean and tidy and presented in tip top condition.
After visiting the 19th hole after my golf i also found the staff so welcoming. The overall experience including the catering could not be matched at any other golf club i have been to.
I like to put on record that it is a credit to Leigh Golf Club and its members that it is now once agian Royal Leigh.I would have no hesitation in recommending this course to my friends and guests where i can assure you that you will get fantastic value for money along with a golf course in fantastic condition.

This course is tree lined and presents a very good test for your ability, but will penalise a high handicapper, plenty of hazards and clever but subtle use of water, greens are small and well protected, but do run true and same paced for all greens ( a rarity these days).
Good yardage markers, but again you do need to be fairly accurate, nice flat course to walk.
Clubhouse is great but unfortunately does not oversee any holes, but the food and drinks are pleasantly priced and well served.
