The Knotty Hill golf centre just outside Sedgefield offers a comprehensive range of challenges to test all levels of golfer, whether high or low handicapper. It has two fabulous, eighteen hole parkland courses, both of which are quite long - the Princes course is 6577 yards whilst the Bishops is 6365 - and demanding.Contact Information

The course today was a little wet in parts but still playable. It's our home course and we have always not liked the bunkers. There is more mud than sand in them which makes drainage poor and this lets a otherwise good course down. The greens have improved the past few years to a very good standard compared to other local courses. If you hit less than 50 front 9, then a good score is achievable as back 9 is a lot easier. All in all, good value for money.

Good value and very friendly as always. a fair bit of work going on and the holes are not corresponding with the scorecard in places. Actual yardage is far longer at the moment. However, overall the fairways and greens were in better nick that at Slalet Hall last week

Played the 'TOP COURSE', in the NE last week at Slayley Hall. It was a deal at £24 and it did not compare at all to the £14 round i had here today. Excellent greens and great value.

Played here a lot over the summer and the course has been in great condition.
Very much improved over the years and starting to shape up as a decent course.
Greens on A & B very good, C & D not quite as good although C & D as a course is much better now that a couple of holes have been extended.
Quite a forgiving course although easy to find trees and bunkers if you're wayward.
Staff great and a nice atmosphere overall.
