Superb course with miture tree lined fairways means you have to be straight from the tee and the greens are like glass so a reaal challenge awaits

This parkland course was designed by Willie Park Jr (leading golfer of his era and designer of many golf courses, including Sunningdale) in 1908 and is parkland in nature.

There are many mature trees and copses, and narrowish fairways making accuracy off the tee a premium.

The course doesn't benefit from great drainage and really comes into its own in Spring/Summer when it is usually in great condition and is a joy to play.

I have read comments about this being an easy walking course. However, the couse isn't flat and the walk up the 18th fairway can be tiring for some.

Well worth visiting outside of Winter.
