Kirkintilloch Golf Club

Situated just to the north of Glasgow, in the shadow of the Campsie Fells, the Kirkintilloch Golf Club course was designed by the legendary golf course architect James Braid, and we have been established since 1895. The course was extended in 2000 and it is now a challenging Par 70 providing a test for golfers of all abilities.

Course Information

Location



Location: The club can be located minutes from Kirkintilloch town centre and to the west of the main street (Cowgate). Approximately 500 yards heading west from McNair's the builder's merchants and the National Tyre Centre on Campsie Road. The entrance is on the right-hand side at the start of the bend in the road and the entrance is well sign-posted with the clubhouse clearly visible sitting above the main road. Note: if using Google Maps, Multimap or any of the other well known online maps to find the club, each of their maps is wrong i.e. Kirkintilloch Golf Club and our neighbours, Hayston Golf Club (250 yards further up the road) are the wrong way round!

Golf course review of Kirkintilloch Golf Club

Kirkintilloch Golf Course is looking beautiful at the moment. The front 9 over steady play, with varying challenges to keep you on your toes. The back 9 extend away from the front 9 and clubhouse to then shoot back for the last few holes. These offer a secluded feeling when you are furthest away from the road and clubhouse. The course itself is well kept and plays beautifully. I enjoyed my previous few rounds there and shall be joining in the next few weeks.
