What the club says: Kilrea Golf Club was founded in 1919, and is situated a half mile to the south west of the town. The original undulating inland course, is one of the driest to be found. Recent extensions to the course, whilst reclaimed from bogland, are also well drained, and the course is often open when others have succumbed to the Irish climate.

Extended in recent years to 5672 yards long, it is longer than the typical 9-hole course. Despite the extra length, accuracy is still required off the tee to give a fighting chance of par at most holes. Generally, the course has tight fairways and small greens.

This a great challenge for any golfer. There are some nice little holes, but tough. Course was in excellent condition best greens I've played on for a while. Well worth a go.

Tight wee awkward course, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Course generally in good condition surprisingly dry considering all the rain we've had. My one bug bear would be the amount of unrepaired divots. Great value at a tenner the thing I wasn't sure how much a junior was I had a 17yr old with me and he paid full price. Great course for a quick wee blast of golf on a summers evening. 9 hole course btw.

Its a little strange turning up to a clubhouse with no one present to collect green fees and suchlike. The course itself provides a great challenge with some brilliant holes! Greens are smooth and predictable. I would definitely recommend it to any level of golfer!

Fantastic 9 hole course. Always in great order with smooth, undulating and slick greens especially in summer. Beautiful walk with spectacular panoramic views from its elevated position.

Nope sorry, they ruined this place when they extended it. And all for a new clubhouse one suspects. I appreciate you need to generate some income in the current economic climate but to butcher what was one of the finest and unique 9 hole golf courses you will play is a crime against the game. Upsetting.

Very good course, some tricky enough holes, but even good in wet weather for an inland course
