What the club says: This very attractive parkland course is situated within the walls of the Kilmorey Estate at the foot of the Mourne Mountains. Encompassed by mature woodland and masses of Rhododendrum shrubs, Kilkeel has the potential to become one of the best inland stretches in Ireland.

Beautiful setting

Breathtaking setting with the mourne mountains sweeping all around, played in winter and was still in great condition, challenging course but thoroughly enjoyable will be back

Little known but worth playing

I played Kilkeel two years ago when i visited Northern Ireland and was impressed enough to return on this years visit. It is a friendly club with excellent facilities, there is a separate Driving Range next to it. Fairways and greens were in very good condition and the bunkers have plenty of sand. You do need to plot your way carefully around the course as there are some unexpected hazards awaiting if you haven't played the course before. Highly recommended.

The fifteenth different course that I have played as part of a trip to watch The Irish Open and play golf in Northern Ireland. Kilkeel rates high on the list in terms of maturity, quality of fairways, speed and quality of greens plus the variety found between the holes. Doglegs, streams, narrow fairways, well placed bunkers, thick rough, sloping greens with run offs ... each hole presents a new challenge but rewards good course management. The Professional provides a warm welcome. I recommend Kilkeel highly.
