The Kendleshire Golf Club
The Kendleshire is a beautifully conditioned golf course that has hosted three EuroPro Tour events.
The Hollows & Ruffet Courses were opened in the summer of 1997 to much acclaim. Designed by Adrian Stiff, the courses were set into the rolling Frome valley with plenty of water and a thrilling combination of pretty holes from the forgiving to the downright challenging. In the summer of 2002 the two courses were joined by the Badminton Course, designed by Peter McEvoy to follow the same lines but with his very own twist.
Each of the courses has its own stand-out holes, and when played in any combination offer the visiting golfer just as much enjoyment as the home one. The white tees provide a very stern test, however from the yellow posts there are plenty of pars and birdies to be had.Contact Information

A gem of a course; well marshalled, managed and manicured, and well worth a visit. One of the best courses I've played in the Bristol area.

A truely beautiful course with some challenging holes, the Kendleshire is a test for all standards of golf. Green staff deserve a special mention as they have clearly invested a great deal of time and attention to ensure the course is in tip top condition. The Pro Shop staff were extremely accommodating and did all they could to make our visit as memorable as possible. It worked, I loved the course and would travel from Hampshire (where I live) to play it again if invited.

Had a cracking deal from Groupon. Course in excellent condition. We played holes 19-27 and 1-9 and there is plenty of variety in these holes. Club staff are friendly. Food was a bit disappointing.

We played 10-27 on Sat 22nd Aug 09 and found the greens and fairways in very good condition, the greens being fast but holding if you hit a good approach. A very enjoyable course with 3 combinations using the 27 holes. There's water on each of the three 9's, several of the greens are approached over water so bring your 'A' game!!

The course serves up a challenge for all levels. Tough par 3's and water on many holes means that if you play to your handicap you have done well.
Excellent off-course facilities. Only negative is the cost to visitors is a little expensive. The Course

We played a three ball here on Monday in misserable weather. The course however was really nice and in great condition. We played 1 through 18 and encountered some challenging holes. The course is long and with the weather conditions played even longer. Usefull halfway house at hole 10 that can can ring when you tee off to ensure food is ready. Lack of signs is an issue and no map on score card so I would download info from their website. Well worth playing just make sure you have a few spare balls as there is a lot of water.

When we played hear the week previous was nothink but rain but on the day it was short sleevs all day. Again the course was very long but the lack of signs to the next tee was very disapointing. We played 10-19 20-29 the walk back from the 29 hole was extremly long, and I mean long.

Played it yesterday, Holes 19 to 27 and 1 to 9. Tee off time 9.20 finished at 3.10. If you ever play I would insist you play the first 18 otherwise get a buggy.

A fantastic course. If you live nearby it's a must and if you live a bit further afield it is worth travelling to. Really well maintained, the fairways a well cut and the greens are very true.

A well kept course, greens were receptive, fairways cut well. You need to course manage well as it punishes any miss hit drives (especially if you are a big hitter). The holes around the water are really nice and have to be thought through especially when windy. Well worth a visit if you have a county card which they take at weekends.
