Kendal Golf Club
From the east you can see the splendour of the Westmorland Fells and beyond to the Yorkshire Dales. While viewing from north to west the full majesty of the Lake District mountains and valleys open up, before later looking southward towards Morecambe Bay and the Lancashire Plain.
The northern reaches of the course are within the Lake District National Park.
The course has an excellent reputation for the fine standard of its greens and fairways and the limestone drainage ensures the course is playable all year round.

Location: From the M6, Junction 36 join the A591 and follow signs for the south exit of Kendal, onto Milnthorpe Road. On entering Kendal you pass Kendal college on your left and then you take the 3 rd left onto Gillingate. Follow the Road up and go straight across the junction and turn up The Heights which leads to Kendal Golf Course.

THIS IS A CLUB THAT I PLAYED IN SEPTEMBER 2009 AND WOULD VERY MUCH RECOMEND IT FOR ITS BEAUTY AND OUTSTANDING VIEWS . ALTHOUGH THERE ARE SOME SHORT HOLES THESE ARE STILL VERY CHALLENGING . THE STAFF ARE VERY HELPFULL AND ALSO VERY FRIENDLY . WE BOOKED A TEE THROUGH THE INTERNET , BUT THE CLUB ALSO ACCEPTS THE 2 FOR 1 VOUCHERS .WELL WORTH A VISIT

An absolutely delightful experience on this really well maintained course with views that can even ease the pain of missed putts on the superb greens. From hole 7 onwards we played in gale force winds and driving rain but it was well worth the effort to complete this lovely course. As Arnie would say 'I'll be back' next time I'm anywhere within 50 miles of the place!
