The excellent 18 hole par 71 course, boasts the excellent greens regarded by many as the best in the area. The challenging course layout offers the golf enthusiast a true test of all golfing skills. Constructed on a sandy plain the course is almost guaranteed to be open even in the most inclement weather and is often relied upon by golfers from all parts of the county to be a ‘port in a storm’. The free draining soil allows for year round play from proper tees and proper greens.

Golf course review of Holme Hall Golf Club

I have been a member here at Holme Hall for 14 years (Father-in-Law for 42 years), and thats says a lot about the Club. 101 years old this year and still going strong. Sandy subsoil make this the last course to close ansd the firdt to oren after bad weather. Good mixture of par 3, 4 and 5's. Good challenge (especially off the white tees) Quite long carries on some holes. Narrow fairways and quite a few trees - you need an A1 game to score well. Signature hole is No.4 140 yd "Pond hole" - nice. 15 is strole index 1 followed by a long par3, a par 4 and finally a dog-leg par 4 all against the prevailing wind - par those last 4 holes if you can!! Nice modern well maintained clubhouse complete your round (above average catering). - Enjoy.
