Helsby Golf ClubHelsby Golf Club is situated in leafy Cheshire and only 7 miles from the Roman city of Chester. Founded in 1901, its 18-hole par-70 parklands course over 6,265 yards was designed by James Braid and today's course and clubhouse feature superb facilities in beautiful surroundings. The course is generally described as parklands, mostly flat and with an interesting complement of trees and lakes and has now established itself as one of the best club courses in Cheshire.

Location: From M56 Junction 14, take A5117 to Helsby * After 1 mile through traffic lights, turn first right into Primrose Lane * After 400 yards, take first right into Towers Lane * Clubhouse is on the left 200 yards down the lane

Golf course review of Helsby Golf Club

Not a bad little course, very tight and a little short for the modern equipment. Be careful what time of year you play as it can get a little wet underfoot.
I did find the clubhouse a little disappointing as the bar/ catering is only open at certain times.

Amazing how well this course played at this time of the year. The greens are superb. It's one of the best I've played in a while. It's not especially well known but I can't see that lasting. Definitely recommend.

Course played really well despite all the rain. Greens run true but quite a lot of worm casts. Staff in pro shop friendly and helpful. Directions from green to next tee could be better

A much tougher course than you would expect from the card.Many holes require a knowledge of the course, a wrong position is very costly.
