Wide fairways
Although the ground was wet, the course wasnt in too bad a condition considering. The greens were well kept but played slow. Hazards were well marked. Practice greens were good, although ran faster than actual greens.Covid protocols were good

What a difference!
I last played here over 20 years ago when it was one of the Birmingham city council municpals. What a difference. With a fantastic club hose including gym facilities and refreshments, to a fantastic driving range. The biggest change is on the golf course. I barely recognised any of the holes as they had been very thoughtfully updated. The holes have been lengthened and greens changed (though there is still room for improvement here) we were a 3 ball playing on Friday afternoon. It seemed like we had the course to ourselves. We took 3 hours 25 minutes for the round with no delays and no one pushing up behind us. The fairways are generous and the rough fair unless you go too far off line. The green fee was ?19.50 and the buggy ?20. We will definitely return here again soon.Reviewer Rating

Nice flat, but challenging course
Easy for those who don't like to many hills, but very challenging. Staff friendly and the food service there is very good.(Round played: Oct 2018 - Score: 102 Handicap: 26.8)

Good value tough track
Nice facilities and easy to get to. The driving range is excellent and makes a refreshing change from a blank canvas of a green corridor.Course seems to favour players who can draw the ball, I must say I played poorly either way.
As long as you can deal with the jets taking off you should be fine.
Only gripe is the usual really; no sand in the bunkers. Really needs looking at.

Some nice long holes, some challenging and some simple. Bunkers bit poor as not much sand in most of them. enjoyable course.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 96 Handicap: 22)

Dont bother
This course is abysmal. I used to play here a lot when i was a lad and have some happy memories, however it was an average course back then and i thought that maybe in the 25 years that have passed it would show some improvement. I was wrong. If anything its worse. I played at the end of june when courses should be coming in to their prime however the greens were in a shocking state. There were plenty of patchy areas with barely any grass and then other areas of the green the grass was too long. They are the slowest greens ive ever played. Lots of areas where the grass on tops of the bunkers and around the fringe were bare and dry, resembling a texan desert. As for the bunkers themselves, well, they are awful. It looks like someone has gone round and tipped a bag of pea gravel in each one, they are not so much sandy as stony. Plus many of them do not have a rake in.Tee boxes and hole signage are tired and need attention. The rough is an absolute nightmare, if you run just a couple of feet off the fairway your ball ends up sitting down with 2 inches of long grass behind it. You will need a scythe if you venture in to the heavy stuff, its up around your knees. Wayward hitters will need to take about 20 balls with them.
The course in general is just long, straight, flat and boring. Theres nothing that makes it interesting whatsoever.
There are far superior courses in the area for a similiar price where the difference in quality is massive. My advice is pay an extra £7/8 and go and play a proper course that is well kept and that puts the golfers experience at the forefront. This is not a course for serious golfers and this is reflected in the total lack of dress code. I saw one bloke playing with his builders work boots on aswell as others in trainers and cargo work trousers.
I wont be playing here again and you should avoid it.
