this i a good course to play but having people walking there dogs on the course is not good and having the smell of dog poo as your are playing is not nice

This is my local course and one Im happy to return to! Always a friendly welcome whether in the pro shop or the club house afterwards. The course itself has always been well maintained when we have visited in the past. For me this course is about risk and reward and it offers it in perfect balance. Too greedy of the tee and you can be punished. Play too cautiously and you could regret it at the end of your round! In the club house after its never ceases to amaze me how we talk of what could or should have been, its just one of them courses!

That previous review was a fantastic piece of advertising from the secretary, well done sir.
Nice clubhouse with decent food, but we arn't playing golf in the clubhouse!
The course is well kept and in pretty good order. Holes are not too challenging though. The greens are ok but there are much better around locally. Not the most scenic of courses, motorway, bolton hospial and a large housing estate are perhaps the best of the views. Had a decent round there only slightly spoiled by some very slow play infront of us. The tradition of letting people play through seems to be forgotten in farnworth.

this is an 18 hole parkland course which is in excellent condition. its £24 for a mid week day ticket but there are plenty of offers if you see the excellent pro. the club house is a swiss chalet type and the catering is excellent value numerous items on the menue for under a fiver. The club welcoms guests and makes them feel really welcome.they do a society package of bacon barm 10 holes soup and sandwiches 18 holes and evening meal all for £30. have a look at the web site greatleverfarnworthgolfclub.com. well worth a visit highly recommended.
