Greens were superb, so much better than what I have been used to. Good value at £19 (teeofftimes. great views as you walk round and some great, yet testing holes. Highly recommend.

Have played this course over 30 times over last 15 years, and i must say lasy year was the best the course as been. However played Mid April and was very disappointed the whole course needs tidying up the green are at best average. If they could get it to the standard of last year than the course is hilly and fairly difficult. However most putts are relatively straight. Needs improvement in the next few months.

Played here in great weather and course was dry and ball waas running. Note a lot of drainage work and greens were quite heavily dressed but in otherwise good condition. I just feel that the overall look of the fairways and all round tidiness of the surrounding areas and water features were not great. Some serious landscaping required and tees need looking at to keep in good condition, a bit tardy in places and not at all flat. This is a great course in waiting for a decent investment - especially with the golf acadamy next door.

very average course, greens arnt the best, however the course is fairly challenging with some nice holes. Potential for this course could be massive if invested and maintained better.

The course is very pleasent when dry. The greens are quite true and the course is fair. This place is a true reflection of how your playing. You have to play well to get a good score here and it is possible.

Good for a municiple course. Pro shop is well stacked and course is in a good condition. From your second shot at the first to putting on 17, the course is very good, just think that teeing off on 1st and 18th could be better. Whereas the course is much more like a private course than a public one, the 18th is an unimaginative hit up a hill.

On par with Crookhill (another council run course in Rotherham). Hardly any holes have back to back fairways, so if you play in the week, you might not see anyone else until you get back to the club house! Although more hill ythan Crookhill, still a great challenge. The 17th requires a short drive (200 yards) to a narrow entrance to a dog leg green. To long and you are in the trees, to short and you are chipping to get a view of the green.

I would recommend this course to anyone, greens flat, true, lovely roll, very nicely manicured, every hole is different, and a challenge, tree,s everywhere but fair, at £18.00 for a round midweek superb value. Pro shop well stocked and trial area, very friendly staff too.

Very challenging course, quite hilly in places with difficult lies. This is a local council course recently under new management with significant improvements to drainage.
Splendid views on top of course over Sheffield and Peak District.

Played this course once as part of my works golf day - I actually won the tournament!!! (Scored 37 points playing off 24). A lot of variety, and I only hit my driver off one tee (used a 3 iron the rest of the time). Nice food also. Would recommend for a society day.
