Gerrards Cross golf course is set in parkland with extensive wooded areas. Beech and oak trees characteristic of Buckinghamshire feature on many holes and the course is particularly attractive in spring and autumn. The wooded areas and the course support a variety of wildlife including muntjac deer and badgers. Hobbies and little owls have also been observed on the course.
The course measures 6,243 yards from the white tees with one par 5 and four par 3s. The course par of 69 provides a good test of golf, confirmed by a SSS of 70. The course demands and rewards accurate play.
The four Par 3 holes are different in character. The 5th, 13th and 16th require a tee shot that carries to the green to take the rough and bunkers out of play. The 8th is a little more forgiving but none can be taken for granted as a routine par and anyone recording par threes on all four will have played some excellent golf. The steep uphill 5th is remembered by visitors as a hole which demands a long accurate shot and considerable stamina!
The views across the Misbourne valley from the elevated tees at the 2nd and 18th tees are a delight. The 18th in particular is a memorable finishing hole and certainly the most difficult in the county. It demands a well-placed drive and a long second shot from a downhill lie over the River Misbourne which is only a few yards short of the green. Reaching the green safely in two shots would be the highlight of any visit but is only a dream for most high handicap golfers.

Lovely course and facilities, played on a social day and everyone enjoyed it and it is being considered for next year again.

Played in the week before the club championship, and course was in great shape. Very good selection of distance guides (coloured flags, sprinkler head distances, coloured markers in fairway)
