Furness Golf ClubThe 18 hole course comprises 6 outward holes, 6 inward holes and the final 6 holes alternating in each direction. This layout coupled with a varying sea breeze provides an interesting and challenging test for all categories of golfer. Bounded by the Irish Sea to the West, the course affords beautiful sea views which are complimented by the equally stunning views of the South Lake District. The course is 18 holes set along the shore line off Walney Island at the tip of the Furness Peninsular. The present course is 5976 yards long from the yellow tees with a par of 71 and SSS of 69. The medal course (white tees) measures 6304 with par of 71 and SSS of 70.
