A medium length course by yardage, Fereneze is the closest thing you will find to a links course without going to the seaside. With relatively tight fairways this is a course which rewards accurate driving. Each hole presents a new challenge, with golfers having to adapt to local conditions when playing approach shots to fast and sloping greens.
Many of the holes such as the 4th - The Cobbler - and the 11th - Ben Lomond - are named after distant hills (or Munros as they are known) which are clearly visible on the skyline, making it hard to believe you are only a few miles from one of Scotland’s busiest cities. The views, coupled with the various wildlife which can be spotted on the course, make the Fereneze a truly beautiful course and one any keen golfer must not miss.

Fairways and greens in excellent shape. Plenty of variety in holes with changes in elevation, slopes in fairways and greens. Grand views all around. Away from roads. It was fun to hit a 300+ yard 3 wood on the steeply downhill 18th! Special green fee £15 offer cannot be beat.

first 3 holes are very hilly, fast greens, deep rough, a good work-out, great views over glasgow, very exposed in places.
