Epsom Golf Club
Longdown Lane South, Epsom, Surrey, KT17 4JR United Kingdom
Unusual in the realms of golf is that Epsom has only two bunkers and they can both be found on the last hole, trusting that you manage to avoid the hedgerow that straddles much of the fairway in front of the green. From parts of the course superb views of London can be seen. Epsom offers an unusual golfing challenge. Though not a long course, it harbours many perils for the unprepared golfer with its mixture of tight holes, undulating fairways and greens which test even the smoothest strokers of the ball. Indeed in a recent tournament no professionals from a field of 48 beat par. Epsom also features a good range of facilities including a practice area with nets and a putting green, bars, catering facilities and trolleys for that walk round the course.

Keep on this road for three miles through three roundabouts (the last one is a large oval shaped one), until you come to traffic lights with a Shell garage on the left. Turn left onto the A240 passed ASDA on your right and just as the dual carriageway starts, turn left onto the B284 signposted to Epsom Downs. You come to a roundabout where you take the 2nd exit and immediately turn right and the clubhouse is on your left about 1/2 mile along.

Great value for money, on a Monday only £10 but a very testing course for chipping and putting

Not a bad course, up on the Downs, so very windy. Drive to the middle of the fairway and often your ball will still roll into the light rough. Difficult sloping greens. First time I have played here and twice I was walking round trying to find the next tee. No course map or hole guide on your scorecard, bit of guessing needed when you can't see the green. Groups of members in front and behind us were very unfriendly as were the pro shop staff.

the course was playing very fast both with dry, hard fairways and undulating speedy greens. the rough was not very severe, but your ball often would run through the fairways.

Great club with some of the best greens I have played. Always in good condition as its built on chalk so drains very well.

course is very tight especially in 40+mph winds! approaches were in good condition and the greens were fast and smooth.

Very windy conditions with fast, undulating greens meant for some hairy golf!!!

A great course with views over London and overtures of links courses (gets windy at times as you are so high above London). Greens are ok and can be quite quick, avoid any time that there is racing on as it is usually shut for Derby week. Good pro if you want lessons although facilities for practicing are poor. It actually comes up fairly short, although still testing especially when the wind blows, however they are lengthening a couple of holes which will help. Favourite hole 5 , up the hill, usually into the wind to grandstand and when you finish you turn around and can see right across the whole of London!

I found this course to be quite interesting to play with some holes requiring a more accurate drive of the tee the to avoid going into the trees on either side of the fairways. All the greens apart from the 18th require more studying before putting to get the required result, unfortunatly i didn't fair very well on the majority of them but it's only my second time playing there so i've got time to improve as i intend to get a few more rounds in with my mate who's a member.
