The Kent & Surrey Golf & Country Club
Crouch House Road, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 5LQ United Kingdom
The Old Course is set amongst some beautiful parkland and it really is a hidden gem of Kent and Surrey, this par 71 course has undertaken some changes in the past year, with the opening of a new first tee in April 2010, you can now tee off right outside the clubhouse (ideal if you want to relax just before a round!).
The course has some challenging holes, least not for the water that encompasses many of the holes of this magnificent 18 hole golf course, you are bound to lose a few golf balls on this course, our 15th is ideal for that tricky nearest the pin, it is our signature hole, it is surrounded by water, or the 5th tee where you drive off in Kent and Putt out in Surrey. Interesting course, with some challenging long par 3s and 4s and lots of water. A good variation between each hole so its not just playing up and down the same stretch.
The course was holding up well despite all the rain. Fairways looking good, greens nice and firm but rolling consistently and bunkers properly raked. Obviously they are still doing some work to improve the course (2nd tee box and the bunker area around the 18th) but otherwise its in good condition and worth the £29 weekend green fee.
The areas between the holes were particularly muddy when we teed off at 8am so they must have been in a right state by the end of the day.
Other than that a nice course that i will be back to play again.

Course appears to be under maintenance in many areas, or at least I hope so as sand was in extremely short supply in the bunkers. Nice character couse, but a thoughtful approach is needed if you wish to avoid the many hazards that lie in wait. Leave the "hit and hope" game at home.

Didnt start well when ordered bacon rolls didnt turn up. Then first two holes were a bit pedestrian, but then it really kicks off. Main hazard is water on virtually hole and more of it than Celtic Manor's 2010 course and this two ball lost over 20 balls. Plenty of par 5s keeps the long irons in constant use and some hills to contend with.
Some rough edges such as grass in some of the bunkers and virtually no ball cleaners on the tees will offend the purists, but this look past the flaws and this is a testing course. Signature hole is the Augusta-like 15th

Beautiful course- well tended. played in very hot conditions. it would have been very nice if the club had a drinks cart or half way house- or at least a water station.

Quite a drive, lovely laid out course that is still having some work done on it, gets busy at the weekends so be prepared to wait in between tees. Wet under foot but the greens were firm and fast and i putted really well. Would love to play it again in the summer.

This club is going places now its under new management. Owners Richard and David are having improvements done to the course on a daily basis. Its easier to see where the holes are now with old trees and bushes cut cut down or trimmed. Old bunkers have been taken out of play and the remainders have proper sand in them now. The greens have been professionally treated and the mole hills have been taken care off. Anyone that played this course a few months ago would not recognise it now. The atmosphere is more relaxing and the course is run in a professional manner with starting marshall. This really is a great joy to play now and a must for all golfers. John B

A little surpirse this one. Just £22 on a Saturday afternoon and we had the place virtually to ourselves. Course in very good condition. A couple of holes could feature in a top 100 book. Especially the par 3 15th.
These obviously a lot of work being done by the current owners. Definately a course I want to go back to.

REAL EFFORTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO IMPROVE THIS COURSE AND THE NEW MANAGEMENT HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB. GREENS BEING REFURBISHED AT TIME OF ROUND OTHERWISE A RATING OF EXCELLENT WARRENTED FOR THE COURSE.
SETTING/SCENERY MAGNIFICENT, A VERY PRETTY COURSE WITH SOME LOVELY HOLES.

A really challenging course- if you can stay straight then you ill be fine but be aware the rough is unforgiving! You really have to think your way round this - if you are just looking to "smacK" the ball here you will struggle .
We played in pouring rain and felt that in good conditions we would have loved it.
Ever so slightly spoilt by some act of vandalsim on the course (a few holes in greens) but even despite that the greens were in very good nick.
No one else on course at 4pm on a monday!

Very tough course. Plenty of water hazards and the rough is very dense. Carry a few extra balls just in case.

After some years of mismanagement the course has now been restored to a magnificent standard.
The bad name of Edenbridge Golf Club may take some time to recover under its rebranded name Of The Kent and Surrey.
Meanwhile Members are enjoying "milionaire's golf"and green fees and society players are treated to a brilliant, though very challenging round of golf.
Catering is exellent, with attentive and friendly staff always ready to please.
Golfers looking to join a club could not do better as far as the welcoming the will recieve from the present membership.
