Our 6390 yard 18 hole Championship Golf Course, designed by the famous Hawtree family back in the Queens silver jubilee year, has been laid out around the original historic grounds of Duxbury estate. The 180 acres of rolling Lancashire countryside provides a challenge for both Amateur and Professional golfers alike.

Greens where hard with frost in the more sheltered patrs of the coarse.
Also the bunkers. only 2 winter greens being used.

Very good parkland golf course. Greens in good condition. Fairways were very wet after heavy rainfall overnight.

Played here for the first time and found it to be a lovely course that was enjoyable to play. Generally friendly fairways, there are a few intimidating holes such as 6 and 10, which both have to be played over water.

I played the course this morning. First time at the course. First impressions were good. Fairways nice but quite a few divots. Greens had alot of pitch marks on them shame really as they were pretty quick. Not much break on the greens all were pretty straight puts. Quite long in places. I played at 5.45am and there was quite a few people on even then. Seems to get very busy. You can also book online which is a good idea. Not bad for a municiple tho worth a knock at the price i payed (£10).

The course looks great with some challenging holes, The condition of the greens let it down slightly but we are right at the beginning of the season. Overall good value for money and very pleasant course i will definitely play it again particularly with online booking special offers

Only played 12 holes here due to weather but some good challenging holes. They probably let too many people on the course tho but only cost a fiver due to special offer so cant complain
