What the club says: Esporta Dougalston officially opened the new layout of its 18-hole course a couple of years ago to great acclaim. Although the new holes took a few months to get up to speed with the rest of the course, the finished article was well worth the wait. There are plenty of great holes on this course and the par three 18th, with water far right and bunkers on both sides of the green, provides a wonderful finish.

Beautiful course and a challenger without being impossible. Was really wet underfoot in parts but that's the scottish weather bot the courses fault.

Set up is pretty good considering the amount of rain in recent weeks. Covid restrictions mean food and drink etc unknown.

Course in good condition generally. Last four holes had just been cored and think they forgot to roll them afterward as ball was bobbling all over the place. But generally speaking. A good we course and good café.

played this course over 20 years ago there has been a lot of changes not all for the best the 9th par 3 206 uphill being the poorest hole on the course the other being the walk back to the 15th hole . now to the good points its still a golf course where you have to drive the ball straight very good greens and tees .clubhouse its a Nuffield gym but had soup and rolls and a pint all could ask for

the course was in really good condition considering it had rained constant for previous week and was still officially winter season. greens very good and course well kept. some fairways quit tight and so require accurate drives. the layout is good and the facilities are excellent as its part of virgin active now. would recommend and is value for money.

Played this course yesterday and I found it to be a tough slog. Had decided that I would carry my clubs as I had imagined it would be fairly flat. (It's not) Was puggled by the ninth. Had some soggy lies on the way round and I felt that if I had played it when it was really wet it would have been a nightmare. The greens were in excellent condition although some of them were heavily dyed. The lack of a traditional pro shop steup was disconcerting, as you have to check in at the health club reception desk. I had to ask for a score card and the woman behind the desk rummaged about in a cupboard and eventually found one. The course was practically empty but still took over 4 hours to get round, but to be fair, I'm not the fittest guy you'll ever meet. I don't think that I will be playing there again, but if you are a younger fitter type with a low to medium handicap I think it would be an enjoyable test of golf.

Great course, in really good condition. Tough course for me, pays to be straight off a lot of the tees.
It was unusual to fill out a health check before we played but we passed the test, somehow!

Would definitely play again, great value, lovely course

Lovely parkland course well keepered and very scenic. Good mix of challenging and straightforward holes so suitable for all standards of golfers. Generally never crowded so easy to book convenient tee times and rarely sandwiched between other players. If playing with a member, extremely good value.

Fantastic course when it's dry. Great holes and greens and tough to play to your hdp. Scenery and wildlife abound and a real test of golf. Toughest in area and the green keeping staff have done a great job! Only complaint is to much dye on the greens.

disappointing long sodden wet course, course layout poor with inadequate signage and no available course maps. featureless in places. other members a bit rude and stuck up. nice green keeping staff but bunkers and fairways a bit of a mess - ok for a tenner but won't be back.
