Doncaster Golf Club is an attractive course set on the southern outskirts of Doncaster. Founded in 1894 the club moved to its present site on land referred to as "The Warren".

Absolutely cracking course at the end of December. Greens were exceptionally true and the fairways were great especially impressive after the massive downpour of rain Doncaster had the day before! £20 was a excellent price and the clubhouse staff were great.

Would recommend this course to anyone, one of th emost enjoyable games of golf i have ever had. Every hole has something about it. If there is a bunker or group of trees on the course, its there for a reaosn, not to make the course look good. Well drained, excellent welcome, toilets on the 10th tee.

I HAVE TO COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH DEAN HE MUST OF PLAYED ON A BAD DAY THE COURSE IS THE BEST IN DONCASTER AND USUALLY IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AT ALL TIMES MAYBE THE NEW HOLES AT THE BOTTEM OF THE COURSE DONT DRAINE AS WELL AS THE REST BUT THE COURSE IS SAND BASED AND WILL DRAIN IN FACT IT SUFFERS MORE IN SUMMER BECAUSE OF THE SAND BASE BUT THE LAYOUT IS VERY GOOD

Great in summer, boggy in winter,used 2 for 1 vouchers at a cost of £15 per round.
Without vouchers £30.00.
Feel would only play with voucher reduction option.

Played this yesterday(30/11/08) and if it wasn't for the frosty/icy greens it would have been 10/10. It was £20 on the winter deal and it was money well spent. I played quite well(not played for a few weeks)but playing a course you like does help. There are some very nice holes, the course isn't overly long but some of the par 4's are not bad,5th, 8th,13th and the par 3 11th is great, elevated tee about 200yds into a stiff breeze, excellent, especially when you get a par. This course really lets you have a rip with the driver, its inviting. Some of the greens were frostier than others(obvious reasons) but they were still in great condition. The professional is, in fact always has been, a very nice bloke and welcomes you all the time and is always very helpful, as were the clubhouse staff. I have played here numerous times and i have enjoyed it every time. The greens here in the summer are really fast and true, just like greens should be, as good as anywhere. Its a must play in the summer but in the winter with this price its a DEFINITELY MUST play.

played this course on a corparate day in october.the course is one of the better ones i have played.tees fairways and greens all in beautifull condition and a great layout with long and short holes.favorite hole was the 11th long par 3 downhill to a green surronded by bunkers.will be playing there again
