Dewstow Golf Club
Caerwent, Newport, Gwent, NP26 5AH United Kingdom
The Valley Course opened in 1988, and was developed around the natural contours of the Dewstow estate meadowlands. It features many mature trees which have been supplemented with the addition of several thousand new trees, now themselves well established.
A par 72, 6091 yards (off the white tees), easy walking course, featuring several ponds supporting a plethora of wild life, including Carp, Damsel and Dragon flies. It is not unusual to see Buzzards performing slow, lazy circles in the sky over Caerwent throughout the year.
The Park Course a par 69, easy walking challenge, was initially developed during 1992 and 1993, and follows the natural contours of the gentle Monmouthshire hills.
The River Severn, together with the two Sevem bridges provide a beautiful backdrop to many of the 18 holes, which start and finish close to the Club House and Golf Academy. Water features on the course provide habitats for plant life, fish and insects, plus of course, hazards for those wayward shots! Book a Tee Time

Played the Park and Valley courses on a £40 deal buggy an extra £25 .
Neither course is as good as 2-3 years ago and looks as though it has been doing some cost cutting measures.
Played on a beautiful day. Greens on the Park were well cut but very bobbly and a bit of a lottery. The Valley has always been the better of the two courses but the greens here were so soft they left footprints .
The bunkers are filled with a marl/mud type of material rather than sand! I think I'll give this course a miss for a whileShocking.

very well kep golf course, very forgiving if you go slightly off the fairway as there is not much in the way of long grass or shrubbery. pretty cheap, about £20 to play on the weekend. I would refommend it if you are in the area.

the layout has been changed from the original design so some of the walks from green to the next tee are to long and dangerous all this so the 9th finishes nearer to the club house not to my likeing
