Woosnam (Dale Hill)
The Woosnam Course was created by the former US Masters Champion, Ian Woosnam MBE and is his first European design. It is a particularly challenging course, constructed to USGA specifications, and at 6,512 yards demands and rewards accuracy off the tee. This is especially so on the 16th, a par 3, tightly wooded hole across a deep, vegetation filled gully.

The Dale Hill Course, since opening in 1973, has become one of the southeast's foremost courses. This well-established course, rich in wildlife and mature woodland, is blessed with contrasting scenery. The front nine is parkland, whilst the back nine is heavily wooded, challenging even the more experienced golfers.

Location
Location: Take the M25 Junction 5 southbound towards Hastings. After 23 miles, turn right at the traffic lights onto the B2087 sign posted for Ticehurst, Wadhurst and Tunbridge Wells. Dale Hill is 1 mile on the left.

Good course, very good looking. We chose to walk the course (normally price includes a buggy) and they did a great 4 ball deal. Greens were a little bobbly but more due to the weather, they were still fairly quick. Only criticism I would have is that many of the holes are open - non of our 4-ball lost a ball (hcps: 12, 14, 20 and 21). Price score below is because of the 4-ball deal we had. Usually I would rate lower.

Played the woosnam course twice over a weekend.Very helpful staff,great course with multi tiered greens,lots of bunkers and greens that struggle to hold balls,thick rough and great greens,not my favourite of courses but still worth playing.mandatory buggies are well worth their weight in gold with hilly climbs.
found the first 3-4 greens very fast but the 17th very slow in comparison-watch out.The 18th par 5 was quite weak to end the day.when the wind blows this course is diffcult!

Stayed here for a wedding and managed to get out for a couple of rounds at the Woosnam course. Even though greens were being scarified it was one of the best courses I've ever played. Nice variety of holes including some testing ones especially the 9th! Really enjoyed it.

Have now played both courses at Dale Hill. The Old Course is charming, very different from the Woosnam Course. More enclosed by woodland as it is lower in the valley. Club house service can be slow and unfriendly but proshop very good.

A course that features some of the best par 3s I've played, particularly the 16th, I would not hesitate to come back to Dale Hill, a quality venue. Actually played against Luke Tricker here and won down the last, but he's pretty rubbish mind.

Very well manicured course as you'd expect, very little water which I was dissapointed with but you do need to hit the ball straight on the back nine! It's actually quite a short course but when you are playing it it doesn't feel like that at all. Great greens and plenty of bunkers! Overall very good and I will no doubt play it again.

Dale Hill offers both golfers and non golfers a high end luxury experience. The 4 star hotels offers excellent value for money and includes very good leisure complex. With regards the golf, Dale Hill offers two 18 hole courses including the magnificent Ian Woosnam course (or The New course).
