The golf course is an eighteen hole parkland course, par 70 with a practice range, three putting greens and a well stocked professionals shop. The course hosts one of the hardest golf holes in South Yorkshire, "The 11th" at 439 yards with five ditches and a pond along with a elevated green in front of a wall and a tight tree lined fairway - A accurate drive is a must on this hole.Book a Tee Time

I dont think i will be playing here again. After all this lovely weather we have had, i would have expected at the very least the grass to be cut. The greens were like fairways, fairways like roughs etc. Oh and the score card we recieved was a bit of paper because they had 'ran out'! If your paying for a round of golf, there are certain things you expect. It provided non of them in all honesty.

Used to be a real quagmire, but recently lots of drainage work seems to have taken place. Greens good and some very challenging holes. The 8th Par 3 200 yards uphill is quite a challenge as it also hugs the out of bounds.

Played late October, nice tree lined fairways, but oh the darn leaves kept trying to hide my ball.
Superb course and great value, only complaint - no course planner nor course map, not even a thumbnail sketch on scorecard.
As a first time visitor trouble navigating round, especially with all the dog legs, some left, some right, some 90s
Highly recommend.

Saturday Afternoon 12th March £16.00.
Course in poor condition, it would appear to have been over used in wet conditions. Some fairway areas and green approaches bald of grass. Greens in use with some temporary tee mats.
Play exceptionally slow, 2 to 3 minute wait at every tee from 6 to 18.

Used 241 vouchers and played for £7.50 each. Brilliant value. Course in good condition although greens on the slow side. Lots of mature trees on the course with deep rough. Take plenty of balls with you.
For a municipal course it's very good. Recommend it.

Not played Crookhill for a few years because of the bad reviews i'd had. Played 9 holes last Thursday and was that impressed played 18 last night. Fab condition. The trees have grown and some of the drives look very tight now. All for £7.50 twighlight price. Playing again Monday its that good

I'd hestitate to join other reviewers in saying this is a good course for a municipal, I've certainly played worse private courses than this. A nice woodland course with interesting although not particularly spectacular holes, fast but slightly bumpy greens and a killer of a par 3 into the prevailing wind that I couldn't even reach with my driver! The cider drinking locals on the 3rd also had the decency to keep quiet during tee shots.
Good, solid meal after with a ludicrously cheap bar.

Took part in my first Golfshake event yesterday, having been a member of VGS for sometime. Course is very good as far as municiple courses go, rated as one of the best in England. Meet some new playing partners, had a great day out, thanks to Paul Cook for organising the event.
