Very good course with some great Par 3s over water. The 18th is one of the longest finishing holes in England.

Always well kept and beautifully presented. Plays differently every time, a real fair test, but punishes you if you wander off.

A bit of an Essex gem. Fairly unknown but testing and varied with some memorable holes. Always in good condition. Its members speak very highly of it too.

I have being playing Crondon for about a month now and have really nothing but positive comments to make.
This is the first club that I have been a member at and have played some challenging courses previously but this takes first prize for enjoyment and value for money.
It is a long and tiring course but perserverance being the key to a good round.
Back to back long holes make this one of the most frustrating yet fun courses around to my mind in Essex.
Well worth the crack!

excellent course nice challenge with some lovely holes a good test for all abilitys i am a new member here and could not have been treated any better, very friendly and welcoming i'd reccommend to everyone.
like all courses very wet in winter but greens are in fantastic condition as are sand based.
as above the bukers and water are in the right places and will catch you out very nice layout.
they are in the process of re-doing all the bunkers and are doing them well, as they have plenty of green staff.

The tee boxes and parts of the course were still muddy because of the inclement weather in December. The greens were very slow. Decent round.

I found the greens to be rather slow inconsistant and bumpy,
the bunker sand is very corse and stoney. Some very nice short holes which are quite testing in windy conditions. Generally a very nice country course. Reception staff very pleasant and helpfull.

At 6217 yards of the yellow tees this course offers a good length course with some hefty par 5s and challenging par 3s invariably with a well placed water hazard.
This is an Essex park land course on the edge of Chelmsford as is (in their words) "designed to take full advantage of the natural terrain and include an undulating topography. Mature trees and numerous water hazards provide".
The course offer an excellent bar area and a large driving range together with a 9 hole par 3 course.
For many years this club has sold itself on the back of its 650 yard (off the "black tees") 18th, but this is probably the most boring hole on the course being nothing but long and straight. The first offers an intimidating tee shot over a small valley, but the carry is deceptively short and is a fantastic way to start as it inspires confidence. Many of the fairways are narrow with overhanging trees but have well placed bunkers and water where you don't expect it.
On the whole an enjoyable course with many endearing features.
