Location
Location: From A1 *At the black cat roundabout (A421 to Bedford) *Take exit to Roxton and Gt Barford. *First right to Chawston, follow road to end, approx 4 miles. *Turn left then first right onto New Road. *Golf club is approx 300 metres on the left hand side. From M1 (Exit junction 13 Bedford A421, Exit at Gt Barford slip road. *Drive into Gt Barford turn left at cross roads. *(Golden Cross Chinese Restaurant) At T-junction turn right then immediate left to Colmworth. *First left onto New Road. *Golf club is approx 300 metres on left hand side.

Staff seem friendly, Members friendly, greens good for time of year but the course lacks any wow factor. Will try again in the summer.

It is some years since I played this course in an official County competition on my only other visit there. The course has improved in those years, and is a fair test. There are other changes planned, e.g. a new green on 15th which is a short par 4, and will be lengthened, as the 16th has been since I played there before. The greens were quite slow, but it is November, so acceptable conditions really. It can also get very windy, as this part of Bedfordshire is very flat!

Played Colmworth on a very sunny Thursday, mid week 4 ball rate of £10 each which was a bargain. Course is set up quite tight with many holes having banks either side to encourage straight hitting so beware if off centre!
For the price we paid it was excellent valueValue for money

The 6-7 raised tees on this course give you a panoramic view of the course and once the work is complete it will be a great course. Greens 8/10.

Raised tees seem to be on every hole out of a necessity for dumping rubble rather than improving the hole itself.

This course is for all levels from learner to low handicap players. The course is developing as the trees and bushes grow and will test your course management and ability with a wide range of your clubs. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend that you have a round here if you can.

Friendly and warming club house, the course is undergoing improvements like raised tee areas etc. The staff are friendly and accomodating and the food is very good.........."like mums cooking".
Course needs to improve ball cleaning facilities at each hole but apart from that its a good course that stays in good condition throughout the year

I am in my 3rd year as a member, the course is being improved all the time with new elevated tee positions. It is kept in excellent condition during the winter months. The club & staff offer a warm and friendly welcome. Food is excellent and overall the course and club is great value for money.
