Course very good condition, greens excellent, staff friendly, club house superb. The downside it is always windy and we couldn't get a bacon sandwich before 10am.
We'll worth a visit. (Round played: Aug 2014 - Score: 81 Handicap: 6)

Clubhouse changing rooms have been refurbished
Toilets and showers excellent however the amount of space when even a small society like ourselves is changing is somewhat limited (Round played: Jun 2014 - Score: 101 Handicap: 21.5)

The course was in excellant condition given recent weather. Secondary winter tees were in use but they were still proper grass teeing areas. The greens were soft but pretty true, but temp greens were cut so they must use them at times. The course played fairly easy as there was little wind, which as a seaside course is it's main weapon. It's a shame you don't see more of the coast and the course has a few pretty holes but does feel a little bland at times. Certainly worth a visit and with a 2for1 voucher excellant value. We visited Clacton on a Thursday and we were welcomed by the pro and the secretary, club house was very comfortable clean and warm, the course was in good condition with greens to die for, good speed and true, lots of work being done by the greenstaff we will be back in the summer.

Played the course several times. The course is extremely well planned out with part links and part parkland. Lots of wildlife. Nice fairways and nicely kept greens. Delightful, traditional Clubhouse.

Jon M rated 3 out of 5 - Dec 31 2008
The only thing that let the club down was being made to wait at the first Tee for over 40 minutes after being told by the pro shop that we were off after the 3 guys on the tee were away. We were not told that the 3 on the tee would then allow 2 4 balls and a 3 ball to tee off before them. When the 3 musketers were asked what was going on, they replied that they were all members and a competition was under way. All this after a very scarcastic explaination of the ball rack system for tee off order, which it seems only works if you are a member with attitude. No need for it really, and a pity, a very well kept course, especially the green with a club house that is second to none. Perhaps we caught the 3 members on a bad day!!!!!!
