Golf course review of Chiddingfold Golf Club

An interesting course with a good range of holes in good condition for the time of year. Clubhouse looks like a wooden hut from outside but, whilst small, is well appointed internally and has a large deck overlooking the 18th green. Staff are welcoming and we were encouraged to return with a deal - which we have done.
Recommended.

Played there for the first time yesterday. Quite a nice course and some fairly interesting holes. Paid on an afternoon special offer rate of £10.95 - can't go wrong.

The course was quite dry and leaves on the greens couldn't be helped but it played pretty well. Course uses contours very well - if you only like flat golf don't go here!! Some of the holes are short (7 par 4's under 300 yards) but most have a feature to make make up for it. SI 1 and 2 are 311 and 295 from the yellows but don't be fooled by the distance.

My only negative is that some of the fairways are close together and you have to keep an eye out for other golfers/what other golfers are doing.

this course is getting better all the time and being brought back to life after being rundown.only down side is the clubhouse is a bit basic on the food and drink side but im sure that this will be put right in the future.

This course is getting better all of the time and it seems to be getting a lot of investment back into the playing side. I played Chiddingfold about 4 times in January and the greens were in very good condition for the time of year, I highly recommend it for all standard of golfers as it is challenging and forgiving with its undulating fairways but it is not for the very unfit although there are plenty of buggies.

Course is still great value for money staff very friednly and helpful and its a testament to the course that so many people were trying to play today when you could barley get a t in the ground and the greens were white !

Had read a lot of poor reviews about the condition of this course, but has been taken over by the owners of Cowdray Park and I have to admit to being pleasantly surprised. It's not long and some of the greens are a little on the small side, but a number of the fairways are pretty tight, and there's a lot of variation in the holes. All in all, one that I'd play again.

A lovely setting. Short course, but the staff are friendly and the cost reflects the course. Thoroughly recommend for a good day out, and a relaxed round.

Chiddingfold is much improved, and under new management. Some way to go, but a pretty course, and a few tricky holes. Staff were very friendly, although the cans of Lager and Bitter were a bit overpriced! Playing there again soon.

recently taken over by cowdrey park and is getting back to a nice course after being rundown by the last owners, the greens are starting to play well and given a little more time this little gem will be worth a visit.

This course is being run into the ground by the current owner who has the course up for sale for nearly a year now.
This course could be really good if looked after, its such a shame to see a course deteriorate through lack of attention.
Watch this space as hopefully someone will buy it and in a year after it will be immense!!

The opening time of the bar can be a bit of a joke as I have played their 3 times and the club house has been shut on all of the 3 times, such a shame

Chiddingfold is quite a short course, but you do have to think your way around.

The course suffers from quite poor drainage so often fairways are soggy. In the winter quite a few holes are teed from mats.

The greens could be better.

On a positive note, it's fairly cheap and always quiet.
