What the club says: Hailed as one of the finest recently-built golf courses in England, Chart Hills is the British architectural debut of six times Major winner, Nick Faldo. Set on 200 acres of gently undulating Kentish hills, Chart Hills was officially opened for play in August 1993 and despite its relative youth in golfing terms has earned something of a reputation when it comes to hosting championship golf.

Not worth £100 a round

Yes work has been done to it but the tee boxes are all dead grass lumpy and look awful...the fairways are ok but dead grass in lots of places considering how much money and time they put it in to the course it's not great...the layout Is fabulous some great holes and the greens are slick and smooth...played on a Tuesday afternoon course empty ????...there is better courses in Kent that cost a lot less £100 is ridiculous for a round Their it's a £60 course no more ....clearly the owners trying to recoup the costs and tbh whatever they did hasn't worked very well at all ..I've played the course prior to the renovation and honestly couldnt tell the difference unfortunately..I would not recommend this course for that price ????

Hi Pete, thanks for leaving feedback about your visit. We’re sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience, and appreciate some of the concerns you have raised.

We have just embarked on the second phase of our major renovation project, which will combat some of the issues of drought that we have faced throughout the early summer. This includes the total refurbishment of tee boxes on nine holes of the course, and the extension of a lake to aid with irrigation in the drier months – all with the aim of weather-proofing the course so that it is peak condition year-round.

We hope that you’ll visit us again later in the year when our Sir Nick Faldo-designed par-3 course and putting green will be in-play.

Thanks from the team at Chart Hills.

Great layout and fun course

Brilliant layout and facilities. Played it with some work on fairways ongoing so should be great for summer 2023. Definitely go back

This course is very well-maintained and has excellent greens. There's no waiting time on tee boxes, which is great. It's stunning and challenging, but not overplayed. I really enjoyed it!

Great Course,

A very difficult Course with lots of hazards. Must stay on the fairways as the rough is very long and almost impossible to play out of. A real golfers golf course

Please stay away from
This course we played here yesterday was told they was doing us a favour letting us have the round for £30. Walked off after 9 holes 7 of the fairways didn’t have a no grass on them. Might of played over a field. Would never step back here again. This is the first bad review I’ve left on golf-shakes we should have really had a full refund.

The fairways on the course are in terrible condition, worst condition I have ever seen on a golf course, literally just mud!
Not too sure how they are getting away with charging people £45 a round.
They have a lot of work to do if they want to charge £65 a round in the summer.

Expect to play from bunkers!

Surprised that on a pleasant Thursday afternoon we had the place to ourselves. Great course, challenging layout and very well bunkered gives a true but fair test of your golf game.

my back garden is better

Needs money to be put in. The Service is awful. The greens run like my back garden. Sand in the bunkers are solid builders sand. I could fall in the cracks on the fairways. Range looks disgusting. A terrible unused pitching green. Just awful

Not great

Not a great experience. Quite simply, the grass needs cutting. Winter rules in play still as fairways bare and patchy in places so to compensate they haven't cut any grass so all the good parts are like semi rough. Made this long course very hard work. No "next tee" signage was tedious. No yardage signs frustrating. Whole course felt unloved. It is also a 5 hour slog even if u play quickly. No wonder it is struggling.

Great course. Nice layout with lots of bunkers to make the challenge all the more interesting. The only downside was that the range ball machine was empty.
