It is essentially a Moorland Course but over the years many trees have been planted. Despite the name ("Braes" means "Hills" in Scotland), it is relatively flat.

Golf course review of Cathkin Braes Golf Club

All good although work on the greens left them two paced and the bunkers were too full of sand on a wet day resulting in 3 plugged balls in one round.
