Great course, majority of holes straight but plenty of bunkers and ditches. Fairly narrow fairways and lots of trees, but a very intersting course and a good challenge. Hotel is lovely, recommended for a weekend away.

Played the course on a sunny day in March with perfect golfing weather, first time i'd played the course and was very impressed considering we had a meal and drink before playing a full round all for £14.50 through vouchers. The course was in fantastic condition and the greens very receptive with the bunkers well maintained. I would certainly recommend this course and the only down point of the day was we finished our round about 5ish and the 19th was closed so we had to use the Hotel Bar which was a bit pricey but refreshing .

Played at the Menzies on a hot April day and it made for a challenging but not punitive round of golf which rewarded straight drives but still offered ways to scramble a par if you found the tricky rough.
The fairways are generous and wide and despite being lined with tall trees you can usually find them. There are quite a few ditches that run across the fairways in the range that most high handicappers will find their tee shots landing on many of the par 4s but this just calls for some sensible course management.
Sadly I didn't get the chance to make good use of the practice facilities as we got held up by traffic on the day we played but they were neat and tidy and would have been very useful!
Many of the holes are fun and feature tricky bunker placement and sloping greens which were a little slow on the day I played and this meant the break that looked like it was there often did nothing to the roll of the ball. The best for was the 1st and 18th, both with water to think. The 1st tee shot called for a good carry over water which is always intimidating to start with!
A great course and well worth a visit if you can make use of the 2 for 1 vouchers!

What a waste of a good course, I think when it was owned by moat house this was a great course. Now the greens are terrible, the huts etc un maintained and when we played a fleet of grass cutters spolied the game by cutting right up to us as we were taking shots and blocking shots by chatting.
On top of that the noise from the A14 makes relaxing on the course impossible.
I have no idea why people rate this club, maybe its snobbery but I have found several of the local lesser known clubs much better on so many levels.
Average course, poorly maintained.
Shame

Well maintained and contains most any challenge you want to encounter from water hazards, protective bunkers, doglegs, and some of the most beautiful greens in the East of England. Will definitely make a return trip to this course!!

Linked to the hotel onsite, enjoyable round. The members must get a discount at the bar/restaurant as it is so over priced, hence value for money rating. Course was in very good condition. Pro was very helpful. Good practice facilities.

I play off 15 and both times I've played this course I've made or been under handicap, which I think is a fair reflection of the course. It's a really enjoyable round without being overly testing.
