What the club says: The course designed originally by Willie Park Jnr with later modifications by the world famous Dr Alister MacKenzie and James Braid provides a mature parkland layout with panoramic views over the Firth of Forth. Bruntsfield Links is only 3 miles from Edinburgh city centre and Airport and remains one of Scotland's most prestigious clubs.

Our club is constantly re-investing to improve the facilities and are spending £1million to improve bunkering and some of the weaker holes. Renowned golf course architects Mackenzie & Ebert are managing the project. Their past re-designs include Royal Portrush and Turnberry.

What an excellent Course

Bruntsfield Links is an absolutely glorious place to play golf. The condition of the course was tremendous, and the greens were excellent. From the welcome in the Clubhouse, Pro Shop and F&B staff, all were very welcoming.
The course is very playable, fairways a little wider than some I’ve played, but, lots of very strategically placed bunkers make it a great challenge. Like most courses, choose your tees wisely.
The definition around the course, fairways, first cut, etc is tremendous
Just a joy to visit and play.

Best In Edinburgh

Course undergoing £1m upgrade with new bunkers while the existing bunkering and greens are also being improved. Additionally a new water hole par is nearly finished providing an amazing challenge. A real challenge and a pleasure to play. Highly recommend if playing in Scotland.

Fantastic condition....especially for time of year....greens immaculate....fairways firm...£110 for a 4 ball...fair course...fairways fairly generous...greens true....with subtle breaks on some....more serious on others...a good mix of different holes winding thru the mature trees....4 great par 3's....well worth a visit to the 4th oldest club....hospitality great too....thanks

(Round played: Jun 2015 - Score: 98 Handicap: 23.7)One of the oldest courses in the world and a traditional parkland course (so not sure why it has Links in its name!). Quite forgiving fairways but in really good nick (an Open qualifier is due to be played here next week).
