Not good
The course was in the worst condition I have seen it in all year. Bald patches all over, greens, fairways and as for the rough in some areas, no grass at all.Reviewer Rating

Course has held up very well with the bad weather had over the last week
Some holes were a bit soft and taking divots was par for the course
Greens run true as ever
Front 9 was a joy and played some of my best golf
then the back 9 kicked me in the teeth but held on
Great fun for all abilities and loving the course already
Give it a go its a blast

Much Improved
The club has made lots of improvements from my previous visit which was great to see. The clubhouse now looks a lot better, there are visible improvements to the tees and it seems the green staff are constantly working on the course. Overall I was impressed with what is going on here. The course is not easy, don't be fooled by the 6,000 yardage as the course is very undulating so keeping the ball on the fairway is a must. Well done to the staff, its getting better!Reviewer Rating

Very enjoyable day
14 of us held our tenth Golf Masters here today. Very friendly staff throughout from John in the pro shop ,Grant and the two ladies serving beer and bacon cobs .Course starts off nice and flat then wow its tough stuff. Never get a flat lie !!!!
Greens are really tough and achieving par on some holes feel like done really well.
Would have liked a few marker posts to give us a rough idea where we are going but only a slight negative . One of our guys shot a 80 so he enjoyed his day .

Hidden Gem, nice course
It's not the most inspiring when you arrive as the clubhouse is an old pub and it all looks a bit grotty. However, the course is in excellent condition and is very interesting to play. Club members and staff are very friendly. Toilets in the pub and clubhouse are very poor however (just one toilet and one urinal) with no lock on the door!(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 96 Handicap: 18.7)

Avoid!,
We are 16 handicap golfers who play twice weekly on a variety of courses in the £15/20 range.I have never submitted a bad review before, but this place needs avoiding. The rough is unplayable, the tees are poor, the fairways need cutting and it is virtually impossible to hold the greens with approach shots.
We were charged £2.50 more than expected, and when we asked for coffee we were presented with mugs of hot water and told to make our own.
We will not be back, and hope that this review helps others to avoid our mistake of booking a round here
