A hidden joy
Played here later in the year but before winter tees, course is well hidden and not what you expect, when approaching this course i was contemplating turning around, but i tell you in all honesty i am happy i didnt, the clubhouse is the pub, and the first tee is but a moments walk up the hill, which looks like a road, then you are greeted with a brilliant rolling hilled woodland course, every hole was an absolute treat to play, albeit extremely boggy due to an absurd amount of rain in the previous weeks, this was the only gripe o the day but its not the courses fault, and they allowed pick up and place golf to accommodate, the greens were well maintained and the course was in a brilliant shape for the time of year and the weather, i will play again and hope it will be a lot dryer than this timeReviewer Rating

Much Improved
The club has made lots of improvements from my previous visit which was great to see. The clubhouse now looks a lot better, there are visible improvements to the tees and it seems the green staff are constantly working on the course. Overall I was impressed with what is going on here. The course is not easy, don't be fooled by the 6,000 yardage as the course is very undulating so keeping the ball on the fairway is a must. Well done to the staff, its getting better!Reviewer Rating

Very enjoyable day
14 of us held our tenth Golf Masters here today. Very friendly staff throughout from John in the pro shop ,Grant and the two ladies serving beer and bacon cobs .Course starts off nice and flat then wow its tough stuff. Never get a flat lie !!!!
Greens are really tough and achieving par on some holes feel like done really well.
Would have liked a few marker posts to give us a rough idea where we are going but only a slight negative . One of our guys shot a 80 so he enjoyed his day .

Hidden Gem, nice course
It's not the most inspiring when you arrive as the clubhouse is an old pub and it all looks a bit grotty. However, the course is in excellent condition and is very interesting to play. Club members and staff are very friendly. Toilets in the pub and clubhouse are very poor however (just one toilet and one urinal) with no lock on the door!(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 96 Handicap: 18.7)
