One of their staff who was very rude. Been in the past to use the range and staff were freindly, but on the last time we were so offended by the comments of one green keeper, we left early.
Never got round to playing there though so can't comment on the course. Club house is OK, has a basic gym, driving range is a little tatty, grounds near range have been ruined by development of log cabins.
Being a local business man it is very upsetting to go to club where some of staff treat you like muck. Glad I didn't go for the membership!
This is one golf club, I will not be returning to. Will try the other club on the South Side, no range but if the staff are friendly it will be plus! The Course

Played in December so probably didn't see course at its best. I thought it quite a long course so more suited to big hitters, all said a really entertaining round

Greens were very poor indeed in September 2011, they were better in April 2011. Good set up, excellent clubhouse and holes, but greens lets it down.

Played a society event here in mid September on a windy (no kidding!?) but bright day. Front 9 is a bit soul-less, largely inland of the coast and one's progress is often interrupted by a drainage channel which weaves its way backwards and forwards around the course without warning. The course is about to undergo some remodelling so there are no course planner booklets available and no information on the website to make sense in advance of your visit of the many blind shots you'll have to play and the many bunkers and ponds which suddenly appear after you've taken your shot.
The back 9 is more pleasing to play as it allows you to spend more time overlooking the sea but these holes are more subject to the difficult wind conditions and you'll have to keep the ball low if you don't want to be wading through shin deep rough in search of your ball on every hole.
Not an unpleasant course overall but the greens are soft, bumpy and far too variable in speed to give you any sense of feel.
The clubhouse was built in 1993 and has been given a mock ancient makeover which isn't entirely convincing. However, the main bar has an elevated balcony overlooking the back 9 which makes for a very pleasant place to dissect the day's events. The Course

Had treated and cored the greens for winter when we visited for the weekend, so spoiled the round a bit, great views from the club house though.

It's very east to be lulled into a false sense of security by a couple of easy opening holes but, after that, this course is tough. 15 and 16 particualrly are right on the coast and, when I played, really tough as they were played into a strong wind.
Super facilities, thoroughly recommended.The Course

A good course with, very good facilities, very friendly. It you stray into the rough be careful, also watch for the OB on the 9th hole,
