Brickendon Grange Golf Club

Brickendon Grange Golf ClubBrickendon Grange Golf Club was first established in the 1960s and fifteen holes – designed by C. K. Cotton – opened for play in June 1968. A gentlemans' annual membership fee in those early days was twenty guineas... how times have changed! Brickendon Grange is now a mature parkland golf course set in 160 acres of rolling Hertfordshire countryside, yet readily accessible to the visiting golfer. It offers a good golfing challenge, without being so tough as to ruin your day, together with the peace and quiet of a truly rural location.

Golf course review of Brickendon Grange Golf Club

Course in really good shape. Having said that there are 3 temp greens now. However it was still really enjoyable, from an excellent breakfast, a fun round to the drinks afterwards. A really nice setting.

Golf course review of Brickendon Grange Golf Club

Cracking course, in very good condition. Lots of tempting holes, but also lots of trees and carefully placed bunkers / hazards to ensure that the balance of risk and reward is 'fair'.
I was a guest of a greenkeeper who made the day really fun, so the staff are good company a well.
Only point to comment on is that they are lifting 6 greens next week for the winter, so the course will be at 66% for the remainder of 2009.

Golf course review of Brickendon Grange Golf Club

21st May; played as part of a golf society - Lovely looking course set down private lane with an old clubhouse greeting you. Some excellent staff within the club who could not do enough to look after you. The course was in excellent condition with pretty fast smooth greens, giving a very true line (if only I could read them!) The only let down was some of the members not being told by the club house that a society was in play and just trying to barge in between 4 balls. No course planners at all and oddly none of the tees were well identified ie no marker board identifying it (aside from a large coin in the turf! All that aside a beautiful sunny day was only spoiled by my golf! well worth a visit.

Golf course review of Brickendon Grange Golf Club

Very nice course in great condition. Also very quiet - I mean in the aural sense - given its close proximity to Motorways and London

Golf course review of Brickendon Grange Golf Club

This is my local course it is not very long but quite challenging the greens are kept very well and i always enjoy my round here. The course is fine however the clubhouse is very average the food is poor and there seems to be no thought in refurbishing certain parts of the clubhouse.
